Meizhu Lui is a self-described “professional troublemaker,” labor, civil rights, and community activist. She co-authored The Color of Wealth: The Story behind the US Racial Wealth Divide. She emerged as a rank and file union activist in AFSCME and became the first elected Asian president of a local union in Massachusetts. She is a member of Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO).
