OSU's Center for Global Health presents the first seminar of a three-part series, exploring the challenges of promoting health and human dignity for those facing displacement and oppression.
Session I: PUBLIC HEALTH UNDER OCCUPATION
A videoconference direct from the Gaza Strip with Dr. Yasser Abu Jamei, Director of the Gaza Community Mental Health Program, and Dr. Yousef Al Jeesh, Dean of Nursing Faculty at Islamic University, discussing issues around promoting public health under siege.
Co-sponsored with Corvallis Palestine Solidarity and the Oregon chapters of Jewish Voice for Peace and Physicians for Social Responsibility.

"Raising Diverse Voices of Faith to Strengthen Oregon Communities"
The 2017 Interfaith Advocacy Day will bring together hundreds of people from many religious traditions from throughout Oregon for a day of worship, dialogue and advocacy. Activities will include an interfaith panel, training in advocacy skills, issue briefings, meetings with our legislators, and a keynote address by Attorney General Ellen F. Rosenblum.
