LOTS of protests coming in Salem, Oregon! We're building the resistance!

350.org Help Ron Wyden Resist Trump: Senator Wyden says he'll ask some hard questions of the nominees. We want him to JUST SAY NO to confirmation of Scott Pruitt (EPA), Rick Perry (DOE), Ryan Zinke (Interior) and Rex Tillerson (State). Monday January 9th at 11 am to noon. United for Immigrant Rights March & Rally: This is a good event to resist Trump. Join as a part of a national day of action to build community, celebrate our immigrant heritage and defiantly pledge to protect immigrants from hateful attacks and policies. Saturday January 14 at 11:30 am, Oregon State Capitol Mall

Our First Stand – Save Health Care: Bernie Sanders, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have asked for our help! Beginning in January, it is likely that Republican leaders in Congress will follow through on their threats to ram through a budget bill that will severely undermine the health care needs of the American people. Sunday January 15th at noon, Oregon State Capitol Steps

Woman’s March Salem: “44 Countries are marching on the 21st in solidarity, and 160 Sister marches are planned across the country. 7 in Oregon alone.  The Mother March in D.C. with nearly three hundred thousand women coming from all over is going strong. Women are being seen and heard. Allies and accomplices are supporting us.” www.womensmarch.com Saturday January 21 at 11am to 2pm, Oregon State Capitol Mall

Salem Solidarity Network: This is a new group here in Salem. It has been my pleasure to attend the first two meetings. The meetings are well attended. If you are looking for ways to resist Trump in our community attending the next meeting will be well worth your time. Next meeting: 4th Thursday (Jan 26th) starting at 6:00 pm, SEIU Building 1730 Commercial St SE
