Harsha Walia to speak in Corvallis on Friday, March 10

Friday, Mar. 10, 7pm:  Harsha Walia - Keynote Address to The OSU Philosophy Graduate Conference
OSU Milam Auditorium

Social activist, anarchist, journalist, author of Undoing Border Imperialism, Harsha Walia, will discuss the global refugee crisis and its implications for North America. Also, a discussion of reformulating immigrant and refugee rights movements within a transnational analysis of capitalism, labor exploitation, settler colonialism, state building, and racialized empire. In an era of Trump and heightened attacks on racialized communities, this talk aims to challenge and strategize opposition to white supremacy; an opposition rooted in the leadership of racialized communities.
