This Saturday we will have a community canvass for Levi Herrera-Lopez's School Board campaign. As you may already know, if Levi gets elected, we will be making history in Salem by having the first Latino ever to be on the School Board. It will also pave the way for a more equitable School Board for the future.This is a great time for allies and people of color to work together as a community and help elect someone who can represent the voices of the people who are underrepresented.
This will be this Saturday, May 6, from 10-2pm and we will meet at Chemeketa Community College, Building 2.
Really, this is a great opportunity to build community solidarity. We just got through May Day, we have the healthcare lobby day on May 12 and the SKCE immigration fdorum and resource day on May 20. This canvass is an anchor event for everything else. Please help out.
